01 — The beginning

A small "why not?" five years ago.

It started with a quiet thought, sometime around five years back. We'd see beautiful things travelling abroad — a thoughtfully shaped ceramic mug from one country, a hand-painted bowl from another, a vase that turned a kitchen counter into something lovely just by being there.

And we'd think — why don't more of these reach Indian homes?

Not the mass-market plastic. Not the same old factory pieces. The kind of homeware that someone, somewhere had genuinely poured care into making.

02 — What we noticed

The world was making beautiful things.

Every corner of the world had its own quiet tradition of making things well. Studio ceramics shaped by hand. Glassware with character. Small, considered objects that felt different from what was easily available here in India.

And these pieces weren't just pretty — they were the kind of things you'd actually use. A mug for that first cup in the morning. A bowl that holds dal as well as it holds curd. A plate that makes a simple meal feel like one worth showing up for.

So that's what Hey Shoppers became — a place where these kinds of pieces could find Indian homes. Carefully chosen, never random. We pick what we genuinely love and would use ourselves, and we work hard to make sure it reaches you in the same condition we'd want for our own homes.

Every piece we stock has to earn its place. Is it well-made? Is it useful? Will it bring a little quiet joy to someone's kitchen or living room? If yes, in it goes.

And five years in, we're still asking those same three questions.
